About us

The King Guthrum Group promotes the heritage link between Guthrum and the town of Hadleigh, Suffolk, where he is thought to be buried. We publish a regular newsletter, and have produced a booklet, In Search Of Guthrum, about Guthrum’s link to Hadleigh. We run ocassional trips and talks on relevant topics. Our longer-term aim is to fund and locate a memorial to Guthrum in the town.

We have set up a charitable organisation to support our aims – the Guthrum-Aethelstan Heritage Group.
